The Lake Victoria Arts Initiative is a local, Kenyan, non-profit, community based organization, interested in  promoting arts for arts sake- in particular: visual and performing arts.

Currently our core business is in developing a residency program for international visiting artists. The Lake Victoria Arts Residency Program gives international visiting artists the opportunity to SEE, EXPERIENCE and RESPOND to Kenyan cultures, arts and landscape. Artists may stay either in our centre or be hosted by a local African family in both Nairobi city and a RURAL village (Osieko) in the Lake Victoria region of the Western Province of Kenya- 400km from Nairobi capital city.
